LW Tunic with trousers - Major Nachrichten
Very nice quality, private purchase blue/grey wool construction 1935 pattern Luftwaffe four-pocket tunic and trousers (Waffenrock) as intended for a 'Major der Nachrichten'. The tunic features a vertical, four button, front closure. The top front closure has a War Merit Cross ribbon nicely hand-stitched in place. The right breast has a very nice quality hand embroidered breast-eagle neatly hand-stitched to the tunic. There is a pair of collar tabs and shoulder-boards sewn to the tunic having the light brown 'Waffenfarbe' indicating a Major in a Signals (Nachrichten) unit. There are different award-loops on the left breast for wearing a ribbon bar/spange and awards. All badges applied to the tunic are original. The interior of the tunic is lined in light grey rayon. The tunic is in perfect condition, the trousers have some small moth damage but nothing shocking. This tunic was found in a private household in Germany, together with a MG-unit Waffenrock which I've listed before. This uniform will make a fantastic display!
