Silver and silver gilt (vermeil) caviar spoon with cloisonné enamel.
Spoon decorated with leafy arabesque shapes on a golden matte background, surrounded by a frieze of turquoise enamelled beads, handle partially twisted and partly enamelled. Slight, imperceptible dents in the enamel on the handle (see pictures).

This caviar spoon was made by Gustav Klingert, who ran one of the most important enamel workshops of the late 19th century in Moscow. The company was founded in 1865 and had 55 employees until its closure in 1917, during the Bolshevik revolutions.
