Franklin Mint - Franklin Mint - Charlemagnes sværd, replik Franklin Mint - Stål (rustfrit)
The sword of Charlemagne (Charles the great) issued by Franklin Mint in the 1980s. This is a replica of the original coronation sword of France, which is kept in the Louvre Museum in Paris.
It has a beautifully decorated handle with 24 ct gold leaf. The gold leaf at the top of the button has come off. The animals heads have eyes made of lapis lazuli. Unfortunately, one of the four eyes is missing. The sword itself is hardened 440 stainless steel and is made in Toledo, Spain. It comes on an oak display, 120 x 25 cm. It can hang on the wall. This is slightly damaged. The sword itself is in perfect condition. Length of the sword is 110 cm.
According to Franklin Mint all moulds used to manufacture the sword were destroyed. This was done to increase its unique and collecting value.
