Irina Ionesco (1933) - Le Divan 'Aneka & Lube' Portfolio

8x photolithographs on heavy satin paper in a portfolio published in 1981. Signed in print lower right. Image size: 34 x 24 cm Total size: 40 x 29 cm The lithos are in good condition. The box is rubbed on the corners and there is a cut on one side of the box as shown in the last photo. Included is a large size booklet with text in French by Pierre Bourgeade. Irina Ionesco is a French photographer known for her dramatically lit, erotic black-and-white portraits of her daughter, Eva. Working primarily as a fashion photographer, Ionesco stirred controversy with her nude portraits—much like Garry Gross would later cause with his sexualized photographs of a young Brooke Shields. Ionesco’s work often features women in elaborate dress, referencing Surrealism in its psychoanalytic and dream-like imagery. view the photos for further details!
